The value of the real estate to be purchased in the citizenship application will be increased.
According to the decision taken at the Presidential Cabinet meeting held yesterday; The application requirement, which is 250 thousand dollars, will be increased to 400 thousand dollars.
The regulation will enter into force after its publication in the Official Gazette.
3 YEARS OF NO SALES
You do not have the right to sell real estate acquired for the purpose of obtaining citizenship within three years. For the application, an annotation that a transfer cannot be made for a period of 3 years will be entered in the land registry.
CITIZENSHIP AFTER EXAMINATION
The terms of the contract will be examined by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, and those who are found suitable will acquire Turkish citizenship by the decision of the President.
Interesting Fact: In a September 2018 decision, the cost of buying a home for citizenship was reduced from $1 million to $250,000. Now it is increased due to constantly growing demand.
